Aeromar, Mexico’s executive airline, is a regional airline founded in January 1987 with private capital, headquartered in Mexico City. Its aeronautical certifications allow Aeromar to operate scheduled passenger flights; charters; cargo, mail and parcels; both nationally and internationally. The company started operations from Toluca International Airport on November 7th 1987.

 

Thanks to the implementation of an integrated air service plan by the federal government, in April 1988 the company was authorized to move its operational base to Mexico City’s International Airport.

 

By November 1988, with a fleet of three ATR-42 aircraft and 170 flights operated weekly to seven destinations, the airline achieved a position as the leading regional and feeder carrier at Mexico City.

 

In August 1991 Aeromar obtained the Repair Station Certificate from the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration), to provide maintenance services to aircraft registered in the United States.

 

The ATR-42 aircraft operated by Aeromar is equipped with the most advanced air navigation systems and were the first of any airline in Mexico to incorporate Global Positioning Systems (GPS). In 1995, Aeromar became the global launch carrier of the ATR-42-500.

 

In accordance to the target market it primarily serves, the business traveler, the company has developed a culture of quality of service in all areas, always looking for the total satisfaction of its customers.

 

Today, we have 20 destinations on 18 airports, with 610 weekly flights and a 99% ontime performance.
